Rain Protection Gear

The best materials for rainwear include polyester with PVC or PU coating, nylon and technical fabrics such as Gore-Tex®. These materials stand out for their high waterproofing and good breathability, essential features for those who work exposed to rain for long periods. RAG Tailors focuses on high-performance technical fabrics that keep the body dry even in extreme weather conditions. In addition, heat-sealed finishes ensure that no water enters through the seams, increasing the effectiveness of protective rainwear for professional use.

When choosing the right size for a waterproof suit, it is important to consider whether it will be worn over other clothing, such as uniforms or thermal clothing. Always check the size chart provided by the manufacturer and ensure that you have freedom of movement, especially if you work with equipment or in outdoor spaces. RAG Tailors provides detailed size guides and models with adjustable cuffs, waist and ankle straps, allowing you to adapt the garment to your body safely and comfortably, without compromising protection against rain or breathability.

Yes. Breathability is an essential factor in professional waterproof clothing, especially for those who perform intense physical work. The best models use fabrics that allow internal moisture (such as sweat) to escape, while preventing rain from entering, ensuring thermal comfort throughout the day. RAG Tailors’ range of rainwear incorporates technical materials with breathable membranes, ideal for professionals who need protection without the accumulation of heat and moisture. This combination is crucial to maintaining performance and safety in demanding environments.

To keep your rainwear in good condition, it is recommended to follow the washing instructions on the label, using neutral detergents and avoiding fabric softeners, which can compromise the water-repellent properties. It is not advisable to tumble dry unless otherwise indicated. Store in a dry, well-ventilated place. Regular maintenance will prolong its useful life and ensure that your rainwear continues to meet safety standards. RAG Tailors recommends proper cleaning after each use, especially after exposure to mud, oil or other contaminants used in industrial settings.

The main difference lies in the additional visibility function. While regular rain suits only protect against moisture, high-visibility models are ideal for environments with low lighting or high vehicle traffic, such as construction sites and industrial areas. These garments combine reflective elements with fluorescent colours, such as yellow or orange, to ensure the wearer is easily seen. RAG Tailors offers certified high-visibility waterproof clothing options, which combine maximum safety with comfort and functionality, in compliance with current standards for personal protective equipment.

Protective clothing for adverse weather conditions must comply with EN 343, which defines the requirements for resistance to water penetration and breathability. The standard assigns ratings for waterproofness and breathability, with a rating of 4:4 indicating superior performance. Some models may also comply with EN 342 when applicable to protection against cold. RAG Tailors provides certified clothing, ensuring professionals that it meets all the legal and technical requirements for safe working in wet and windy environments, without compromising comfort.
