PPE Accessories

Mandatory PPE accessories vary according to the risks associated with each professional activity. In construction, for example, protective helmets, steel-toed safety boots, heavy-duty gloves, safety glasses and reflective vests are generally required. In healthcare environments, protective masks, disposable gloves and goggles or visors are often mandatory. It is essential that workers and employers are aware of the specific standards in the sector and ensure that certified personal protective equipment is used properly. At RAG Tailors, you will find a complete selection of PPE accessories that comply with legal requirements, promoting safer working environments.

To choose the right PPE accessories, you must first assess the specific risks present in the workplace. It is essential to consider factors such as exposure to chemicals, working at height, handling loads or contact with sharp surfaces. The choice should be made for certified PPE accessories, adapted to the user and the type of task. For example, safety gloves for the food industry will be different from those used in construction. At RAG Tailors, specialists in workplace safety solutions, we advise our clients based on the regulations in force and the needs of their sector of activity, ensuring that the most appropriate equipment is selected for each case.

There are several types of safety gloves, each designed to offer protection against different types of hazards. For construction work, gloves that are resistant to abrasion, cuts and punctures are recommended. Reinforced leather gloves are ideal for handling heavy tools, while synthetic materials offer flexibility and chemical protection. There are also gloves with a non-slip coating for greater grip. RAG Tailors offers a wide range of high-performance safety gloves, adapted to different tasks and with European certification, providing safety without compromising the user's comfort.

Proper maintenance of PPE accessories is crucial to prolonging their effectiveness and lifespan. After each use, the equipment should be checked for condition, cleaned according to the manufacturer’s instructions and stored in a dry, clean and ventilated place. Exposure to adverse conditions such as humidity, extreme temperatures or corrosive substances can compromise the performance of the equipment. Protective helmets, safety glasses and masks should be inspected regularly and replaced whenever they show signs of wear. RAG Tailors advises its customers on best storage practices and offers PPE accessories made from durable and easy-to-maintain materials.

Both safety glasses and safety visors are used to protect the eyes and face from impacts, particles, liquids or infectious agents. The choice depends on the type of risk and the task. Safety glasses are designed to protect against dust, sparks and light impacts – very common in carpentry or metalworking environments. Visors, on the other hand, offer full face coverage and are more suitable for work with chemicals, welding or hospital care. In the RAG Tailors range of PPE accessories, you will find both types, all with European certifications and adaptable to different protective helmets.

Yes, all PPE accessories must comply with European certification standards, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety requirements. CE marking is mandatory and certifies that the product has been tested in accordance with specific legislation. The main standards include EN 166 for safety glasses, EN 388 for gloves for protection against mechanical risks, EN 397 for safety helmets and EN 20345 for safety footwear. When purchasing PPE accessories from RAG Tailors, you can be sure that you are purchasing certified equipment, designed to meet the highest European safety standards.
