PPE Anchorage Devices

Anchorage devices are fixed or temporary elements that are part of fall protection systems for work at height. Their main function is to serve as a connection point for other PPE components, such as safety ropes, lifelines and lanyards. These devices must withstand high forces in the event of a fall, keeping the worker connected to a stable structure. The correct use of anchorages is vital to reduce the risk of serious accidents in high-risk environments. RAG Tailors offers professional solutions that meet the required standards and adapt to different work at height contexts.

There are several types of anchoring devices, suitable for different surfaces, structures and uses. The most common include fixed, portable, temporary, horizontal or vertical lifeline anchoring devices, and permanent anchor points in buildings. Choosing the right type depends on the type of work, the structure where it will be used and the mobility required. At RAG Tailors, we help our customers choose the ideal PPE anchoring devices to ensure full compatibility with other height safety components.

Correct installation of anchoring devices is crucial to ensuring complete safety when working at height. It must always be carried out by qualified professionals, based on the manufacturer's instructions and current installation standards. It is essential to choose a solid anchoring point that is compatible with the connecting equipment. In addition, it must be ensured that the orientation, strength and location comply with legal and technical requirements. RAG Tailors devices are accompanied by detailed instructions for safe installation, making it easier to comply with safety standards for anchoring devices.

Maintenance of anchoring devices must be carried out regularly to ensure their effectiveness and durability. It is recommended to visually inspect the devices before each use, checking for signs of wear, corrosion or deformation. Periodic inspection by specialized technicians, in accordance with applicable safety standards, is also mandatory. In environments with high exposure to weather or corrosive substances, the frequency should be increased. RAG Tailors advises all its customers on the inspection methods and appropriate maintenance plan for its PPE anchoring devices, ensuring long-term safe use.

Fixed anchor devices are permanently installed in locations where work at height frequently occurs, such as buildings or industrial structures. Temporary devices are mobile solutions, ideal for specific interventions or situations where it is not possible to install permanent systems. Temporary models include anchor straps, tripods, counterweights and transportable lifelines. Both types have advantages and limitations, and it is essential to choose the most suitable for the specific activity. RAG Tailors offers a diverse range of devices that adapt to both fixed and temporary scenarios, always with a focus on safety and compliance.

Anchorage devices must comply with European standards EN 795, which define the technical and safety requirements, including minimum strength, testing methods and appropriate marking. In addition, they must be compatible with the other components of the restraint or fall protection system used by the worker. Compliance with these standards guarantees not only effectiveness but also legal compliance in safety audits. All anchorage devices available from RAG Tailors are certified and tested, guaranteeing the user maximum protection and reliability in situations where there is a risk of falling.
