Between uses, store them in a dry place and apply a fabric protection spray. Avoid washing them in the washing machine, as this can damage the structure and the characteristic jute sole.

Espadrilles were originally designed as casual footwear, ideal for urban use and short walks. For long walks, traditional espadrilles with jute soles may not provide adequate support.
