The requirement for protective boots varies according to the sector and associated risks. In environments such as construction, metallurgy, chemical and electrical industries, the use of safety footwear is legally required, in accordance with occupational health and safety guidelines. Even in sectors where there is no explicit requirement, the use of appropriate boots is recommended as a preventive measure.
