Coveralls are one-piece garments that cover the entire body, including arms and legs, with a front zip. At RAG Tailors, both models are manufactured with high-quality, resistant materials, but coveralls offer greater all-round protection, being ideal for work with greater exposure to risks, while overalls provide greater flexibility and are more suitable for activities that require mobility and adaptation to different temperatures.

At RAG Tailors, we use premium materials for our waterproof dungarees and coveralls. For waterproof garments, we use PVC or polyurethane coated fabrics, ensuring 100% protection against water and moisture. Flame retardant coveralls are made from fibres treated with flame retardants or intrinsically flame retardant fabrics such as Nomex® or Kevlar®. For general industrial use, we favour high-density cotton and polyester blends (between 240g/m² and 300g/m²), which offer the perfect balance between strength, breathability and comfort for long working hours.

To choose the ideal size for overalls or coveralls for an industrial environment, consider two fundamental measurements: height and chest circumference. Workwear should allow for free movement, without being too loose to the point of becoming caught in machinery. We recommend measuring over the clothing you will normally wear underneath the garment and adding 2-3 cm for comfort. In the case of coveralls, also check the length of the sleeves and legs. RAG Tailors’ flame retardant coveralls comply with EN ISO 11612 for protection against heat and flames, and EN ISO 11611 for welding. Our high visibility clothing complies with EN ISO 20471, ensuring visibility in low light conditions. Additionally, we offer garments certified to EN 1149-5 for anti-static environments, EN 13034 for protection against chemicals and EN 342 for protection against cold. All of our overalls and coveralls are tested by independent laboratories, ensuring they meet or exceed European requirements for personal protective equipment (PPE).

Waterproof outdoor dungarees offer significant advantages over other types of clothing. They provide superior protection against rain and moisture by covering the torso and legs, preventing water from entering the waist, a common problem with conventional waterproof trousers. The strapless design distributes the weight better, reducing pressure on the waist. They usually include multiple waterproof pockets for tools and personal items. In the RAG Tailors portfolio, waterproof dungarees feature sealed seams and breathable fabrics that, while blocking water from entering, allow body vapor to escape, keeping the wearer dry both externally and internally.

To prolong the life of heavy-duty coveralls, always follow the specific instructions on the label. We recommend washing at moderate temperatures (30-40°C) with mild detergents, avoiding bleaches and fabric softeners that damage the special treatments. Never use chlorine-based products on flame-retardant coveralls, as they compromise the flame-retardant properties. Dry preferably in the air, avoiding high-temperature dryers. For waterproof garments, reapply water-repellent treatments after 15-20 washes. RAG Tailors also recommends rotating between different garments to reduce wear and tear, and regularly checking zips, seams and reinforcements for preventive maintenance, always ensuring the functionality of the workwear.
